DYNAMIC SOUNDS

Dynamic Sounds is a legendary Jamaican record label and recording studio that was founded in Kingston, Jamaica in the late 1960s. The studio quickly became one of the most important recording facilities on the island, and was known for its high-quality sound and equipment. Dynamic Sounds was founded by Byron Lee, a Jamaican musician and bandleader, who also founded the Byron Lee and the Dragonaires band. The studio quickly became popular with many of Jamaica's biggest music stars, including Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Jimmy Cliff, among others.

In addition to producing and distributing reggae music, Dynamic Sounds Records also played a significant role in the development and promotion of soca and calypso music in Jamaica. The label worked with a number of Trinidadian artists, including Lord Kitchener, Lord Creator, and Mighty Sparrow, to release their music in Jamaica and help bring the sounds of soca and calypso to a wider audience.
