One of the longest running reggae bands of all time, Third World has been together for nearly 40 years and have amassed a catalog of tunes that has produced some of the biggest selling records in all of reggae including “Now That We Found Love” and “1865 (96 Degrees In The Shade).” The collection presented here features many of their most popular songs with earlier hits re-recorded by the band to improve upon the quality of their earlier recordings. Included in the collection are two relatively new songs - “Jamaica”, an extremely catchy original which is autobiographical in content, chronicling the bands travels over the past four decades. The other tune is the classic Neil Diamond penned “Girl You’ll Be A Woman Soon” that greatly benefits from bassist Richard Daley’s awesome hook (“I wanna rock, I wanna rock”) and once again illustrates how Third World can take a pop song and turn it into a Reggae masterpiece. All selections have been newly remastered.
