Inspired by the legendary Jamaican DJ, U-Roy, Huford Brown began his career DJing on the Silver Bullet Sound System in the early-70s. Dubbing himself U-Brown, his impassioned, half-rapped vocals bore an uncanny resemblance to his hero. In 1976 he scored a hit with "Starsky and Hutch," which led to a series of albums produced by Bunny Lee.
